Election was more of a restraining order

It is truly amazing that liberals like Walt Zlotow (Nov. 6 and 14 letters, so much for the Herald's strict 30 day gap between printing letters policy?) still don't get it. Fresh off a decisive, epic, historic 60-70 year political slaughter reminiscent of Little Bighorn, they continue to pound their collective chests warning us of the impending doom to befall on all of us because Americans finally woke up to the utter incompetency of the Democratic Party. Like lemmings off a cliff they continue to follow the lead of their clueless, tone deaf liberal leadership, Obama/Pelosi/Reid. The three Republicans gifts that keep on giving. The audacity and hubris from the left is astonishing. Pelosi, one of the two farcical faces of the Democratic thumping will probably remain as their feckless leader in the House. The other farcical face, Obama, attributes the losses to his inability to explain properly his unpopular policies like Obamacare to the ignorant masses. I guess his hundreds of incoherent speeches, interviews, and town halls were insufficient.

Memo to the leftist, misguided, MSNBC gang: You're fired. Your left of San Francisco ideology has been vociferously rejected by the informed masses. And based on the numerous governorships picked up by Republicans in key swing states such as Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, et. al., the 19 state legislatures turned red, and the 24 Democratic Senate Seats vs. 10 Republican Seats up for grabs in 2012, it's not over yet for MSNBC. More proof? Both Huckabee and Romney are ahead of Obama 8 percent and 4 percent respectively in a recent CNN poll.

I strongly urge liberals to continue their void of reality rhetoric. P.J. O'Rourke, famous political satirist summed it up quite succinctly recently commenting on the thumping endured by the Democrats: “This wasn't an election, it was a restraining order.”
