Wolves fall to Stars 8-2

AUSTIN, Texas -- The Chicago Wolves jumped out to a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes but surrendered 6 second-period goals en route to dropping an 8-2 decision to the Texas Stars on Tuesday night at Cedar Park Center.

Forwards Akim Aliu and Fredrik Pettersson scored for the Wolves in the first period.

The Wolves (6-10-1-0) opened the scoring when Aliu drove the puck down the left side of the ice and backhanded a shot past Texas goaltender Richard Bachman 9:43 into the first period.

They took the 2-1 lead with 2:27 remaining in the opening period on Pettersson's goal.
