Last year: 11-17, 3-9 in West Suburban Silver; lost to West Chicago 62-53 in Class 4A West Chicago regional semifinal.

Scouting report: The talent of Reinecke's second group at York isn't questioned. It is this group's chemistry that has him most excited. "That intangible can't be taught in practice," he said. Four-year starters Colon and Cripe are a good place to start. Colon averaged 17 points and 7 rebounds last year and can be a beast for opponents in the paint. Reinecke loves the way unselfish point guard Cripe sees the floor. This year he hopes she takes the next step in believing in herself as a scorer. Reinecke calls Brown his "sniper" from the outside. Reinecke found himself learning on the fly last year as York's third coach in three years. Expect the Dukes to take a step forward this winter. "We all had a summer to build on the foundation we set last year," Reinecke said. "If anything that gives you confidence."
