Skinny: The Wildcats got back to Evanston in the wee hours Thursday morning after a rugged 77-71 win at Texas-Pan American. The Broncs shot 57 percent overall and 53 percent on 3-pointers as Bill Carmody stuck with the matchup zone as long as he could before switching to the 1-3-1 trap. NU's Big Three (Shurna, Crawford, Thompson) combined for 59 points and 43 of the team's 53 shots. Somebody else needs to become more assertive offensively. Arkansas-Pine Bluff, meanwhile, is playing all of its November and December games on the road for the third year in a row. The Lions used the experience to reach the NCAA Tournament last year, but so far they have a 31-point loss at Colorado State and a 43-point loss at Nebraska to show for their road trip.
