Expert to speak on Asperger Syndrome medications
Medications issues with Asperger Syndrome will be the topic Tuesday, Nov. 23, of the monthly meeting of PASSAGE (Planning Asperger Syndrome Success and Generating Experiences) at Harper College in Palatine.
Dr. Elizabeth Berry-Kravis, pediatric neurologist and researcher from Rush University Medical Center, is the guest speaker on medications used for autism spectrum disorders and other related disorders, including medications used for seizures, that are used across the age spectrum from early childhood through young adulthood. The session will be of interest to parents of children, teens and young adults with neurological and/or developmental disorders.
The meeting will be from 7-9 p.m. in Building A, Room A-238, at 1200 W. Algonquin Road. In addition to the session on medication, for teens and young adults there will be a speaker on planning for an outing, followed by games and a social hour. For more information, go to passagegroup.org.
