Catch Magnificent Mile Lights Fest on ABC 7

WLS Channel 7 airs the annual Magnificent Mile Lights Festival from downtown Chicago at 6 p.m. Saturday. Waukegan native Jon Michael Hill, a Steppenwolf Theater trouper and star of ABC's “Detroit 1-8-7,” will join the broadcast as a co-host. ... WGN Channel 9 gets in the holiday spirit by rerunning the nostalgic special “Bozo, Gar & Ray” at 11 a.m. Thursday.

Back to the Futurama

Comedy Central unveils the new seasonal special “The Futurama Holiday Spectacular” at 9 p.m. Sunday. In addition to “Futurama's” usual beautiful artwork, the special also boasts the voices of Al Gore (as a Head-in-a-Jar) and Coolio. Look for Kringlebot to reappear as well.

11 marks Lennon birth

PBS airs a couple of specials belatedly marking what would have been John Lennon's 70th birthday next week. “Masterpiece Contemporary” presents the new “Lennon Naked,” in which Christopher Eccleston plays the Beatle during a pivotal juncture in the late '60s, at 8 p.m. Sunday on WTTW Channel 11. “American Masters” follows with the documentary “LennoNYC” examining his days in New York in the '70s at 9 p.m. Monday.

Double ‘Dawn'

Zack Snyder's 2004 remake of George Romero's original “Dawn of the Dead” loses much of the class-conscious consumer irony, but it's still a rollicking good horror show, starring Sarah Polley, Ving Rhames and Jake Weber. It's at 9 p.m. today on MTV, immediately rerun at 11.

Ving Rhames stars in the “Dawn of the Dead” remake.
