Libertyville then and now

The next meeting of the Libertyville-Mundelein Historical Society will be a celebration of the release of a new book featuring Libertyville. The event is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23 at Mickey Finn's brewery, 412 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Admission is $25 and includes an autographed copy of the book. A donation of $5 is suggested for those bringing their own copy.

The Arcadia Publishing offering features 1950s-era images of a maturing community by Carl Cizek.

The authors are Laura Hickey, Arlene Lane, and Sonia Schoenfield, who work at the Cook Memorial Library.
