The skinny: After losing an exhibition to Division II Quincy and winning their season opener against Division II Texas A&M-Kingsville, the Braves take a step up in class with NIU. The Huskies were overrun by Northwestern in Friday night's opener as their zone couldn't deal with the Wildcats' 3-point shooters. That shouldn't be as much of an issue with Bradley. While NU hit 15 of 33 3-pointers Friday, Bradley hit just 3 of 17 3s in its opener. NIU freshman center Nate Rucker had a nice debut with 11 points and 6 rebounds in 30 minutes. Xavier Silas took 15 of the team's 50 shots against NU as he tried to bring the Huskies back.
