Ethics panel should investigate Hartstein

It would seems to me that now that we have an Ethics Committee created by the Village of Buffalo Grove, its first order of business should be the investigation of President Hartstein's appalling behavior at the recall party on Nov. 2, 2010.

I think the most solid issue is this: President Hartstein is charged with the sole decision of appointing someone to the vacant seat. Given that sole power, one may easily wonder if he may have had a hidden agenda, thus demonstrated in his active role to the recall, i.e. handing out fliers at the gas station, letters to the editor etc. ... as there appears to be a clear conflict of interest.

Ousting the trustee has given him the opportunity to custom design that seat, to his benefit.
