Don’t fall for it, Buffalo Grove

In a recent essay, BG Trustee Jeff Berman sounded almost statesman-like. Indeed, his pontificating and finger wagging at our village president, Elliott Hartstein, almost brought a tear to my eye. His “I was, frankly, horrified at the sight (as were many others who were present).” almost sounded heartfelt and indignant. Almost, that is, until you look at the stills and videos of the recall night performance a little more closely. So, just who is that in the near background laughing uproariously, obviously part of the joke and enjoying the Hartstein act?

So what do you suppose brought on this sudden somber cluck clucking and indignation at the actions of his buddy Hartstein? Why, you don’t suppose that his upcoming re-election run in four months has anything to do with it, do you? You don’t, for a minute, suppose that he would be so devoid of character and integrity to throw his buddy under the bus for a cheesy campaign speech, do you? Welcome to the Buffalo Grove Village Board!

Residents, you let these charlatans and “good old boys” fool you once. They are all the same; they are all part of the same club. Don’t fall for it again. This motley crew are a campaign for term limits. Throw the whole lot of them out in April.
