• Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington received an anonymous gift valued at $2.1 million from a former patient and hospital volunteer.

• Linden Oaks at Edward will host an open house at its new St. Charles location, 3805 E. Main St., Suite J, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19. • Chicago Bears player Greg Olsen will be at CDH Convenient Care Center, 235 Gary Ave., in Bloomingdale, from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, to promote the NFL-sponsored program “Play60.” The program is a national youth health and fitness campaign focused on increasing the wellness of young fans by encouraging them to be active for at least 60 minutes a day. The first 500 guests in line will receive one free NFL “Play60” watch.
