Village of Lombard Begins Recycling of Holiday Lights
The recycling collection bin is outside of the Public Works Department's front door so residents may make a drop off at any time, including after work hours and on weekends. Elgin Recycling will pay the Village 15 cents per pound, which will be used to offset the Village's costs for its Recycling Extravaganza each September. Last year, five tons of lights were recycled in eight villages. The collection starts immediately and will continue through January 9.
