Sun City voters show their mettle

It was good to see such a high turnout for a midterm election. The residents of McHenry and Kane counties are to be congratulated. According to county offices, McHenry voters turned out at 47 percent of total registered voters, higher than the usual 40 to 44 percent. Kane County topped them with 51 percent.

Special kudos to the Rutland Township residents in Sun City where the totals were: 3rd precinct 67 percent; 4th precinct 63 percent; 7th precinct 62 percent; and 9th precinct 68 percent.
