Kenilworth man crushed by golf cart

A Kenilworth man is dead after becoming trapped under an electric golf cart.

Authorities say 67-year-old attorney Larry Schad died from multiple crushing injuries after he was found under the cart. The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the accident happened during a twilight round of golf at the Evanston Country Club in Skokie.

Skokie Police Sgt. Michael Krupnik says another golfer called authorities after spotting Schad trapped. The death remains under investigation.

Schad is survived by his wife, four children and two grandchildren.
