Bensenville District 2 talks expansion

Bensenville Elementary School District 2 is inviting the community to learn about expansion and renovation plans at W.A. Johnson School during a public forum from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the school, 252 Ridgewood Ave., Bensenville.

Residents can view the floor plan and provide feedback. The $22 million project will result in a school three times larger. The single-story addition will include a new gymnasium, cafeteria, entrance, art and music rooms and three classroom wings. The existing building will be completely renovated.

The Johnson addition is expected to break ground in the spring, around the same time as an addition at Tioga School, 212 W. Memorial Road, which was approved in October. For details, visit bsd2.org.
