Man crushed by golf cart
A North suburban attorney died Wednesday evening from injuries he sustained in a golf cart accident, the Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed Thursday evening.
Lawrence Schad, 67, of Kenilworth was found about 4 p.m. Sunday next to a golf cart at Evanston Golf Club in Skokie, said Skokie police Sgt. David Pawlak.
Paramedics took Schad to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Schad was a director of Schad, Diamond & Shedden, a Chicago law firm. According to the firm's website, Schad was a trial lawyer with more than 30 years' experience in class action lawsuits. The site says he received his law degree from the University of Michigan in 1970.
Pawlak said police are investigating.
