Lombard Fire Department Responds to Single Family House Fire
Upon arrival fire crews discovered that there was a large amount of fire showing in the rear of the two story residence involving a deck and the rear of the house. Fire crews were able to prevent the fire from significantly extending into the home. There were no injuries reported.
Battalion Chief Ron Rakosnik, head of the fire department's Fire Investigation Unit, stated that the cause of the fire is still under investigation. The damage estimate of the structure and contents is approximately $50,000. Addison and Oak Brook Fire Departments assisted at the scene.
