Electric line repaired along Randall Road in Geneva

An electrical line that fell near Randall and Keslinger roads Monday has been repaired, and Randall Road was reopened to traffic as of 3 p.m.

A ComEd spokesman said the utility does not know why the distribution line fell early Monday afternoon, and is investigating.

Geneva police closed Randall from Keslinger Road to Fargo Boulevard, and Metra stopped its commuter trains from running through the area during the repairs.

Geneva runs its own electrical utility, purchasing power that runs over the regional grid.
