O'Connell leads Maine West

Ailish O'Connell won the 50-yard freestyle and took second in the 100 free for Maine West in Saturday's Central Suburban North girls swimming meet in Des Plaines.

O'Connell won the 50 free in 25.12 seconds and swam the 100 free in 55.93. Jen Rey was third in diving as Maine West took fourth in the six-team meet won by Deerfield.
