Vote on research, not on ads

Unlike some, I was not distressed by the glut of political ads, printed, TV, radio, or in my mailbox, for this reason: If the candidate was an incumbent, my vote was determined on his or her votes on my key issues, e.g., pro-life, my vote; vote against Obamacare, my vote; vote to secure our borders, my vote. All the political ads generated could not change their voting records.

I evaluated new candidates by the recommendations of pro-life, pro-family “ratings,” and track records from other offices or functions, if available, not political ads. Even so, there were a couple of races where, as has been said, I held my nose and voted.

A comment to President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Sen. Reid: With all due respect, I have deeply resented your caricature of folks like me as ignorant boobs. I am intellectually capable of listening to political rhetoric or reviewing legislation and separating wheat from chaff. I would have no problem producing my diplomas or transcripts to appropriate parties or, for that matter, my birth certificate.

Find another label to hang on me besides lack of intelligence, please. “Conservative” would be quite acceptable.
