We need a 'cancer' awareness month

I wanted to voice my opinion about Breast Cancer Awareness month

The statistics for contracting the disease are very astounding. But the statistics for breast cancer pale to the mortality of other cancers.

I had the misfortune of losing my older brother to kidney cancer that had spread to his lungs. I myself am a kidney cancer survivor.

The statistics alone for the mortality of all other cancers combined dwarf that of breast cancer. My suggestion is that if we want to make the American people aware of cancer prevention, we should have a “cancer” awareness month. That way, all of the people at risk will take the precautions with their health, not just women.
