Let's make some real election reforms

Many Americans and our own government are struggling financially at many levels, federal, state and local. Budget cutting and tax increases loom for all of us. Nevertheless there was a seemingly endless supply of funds for campaign mudslinging. How many times did we hear the same negative commercial messages repeated over and over? Anybody sick and tired of it?

Why not make a change in our Constitution? Let's amend our Constitution to eliminate campaign contributions and use our public radio and TV stations to schedule debates and find out what the candidates stand for. Let's put them to the litmus test of live debate instead of Hollywood commercials. Let's get to the root of the problem, eliminate campaign fund warfare.

Campaign contributions are thinly disguised bribes. Big corporations and labor unions that contribute to their candidates expect favors in return, right? Let's get them out of the way. Let's get back to doing the right thing.

After all, the Blagojevich embarrassment would have been minimized if not eliminated by taking the greed factor out of our political election system. As Americans we should expect fair elections and honest candidates with our collective best interest in their hearts.

If you feel the same way visit, coffeepartyusa.com. We can put an end to this insanity. While we're at it, let's set term limits for all elected officials. Enough's enough.
