Park City man denies possession of child pornography
A Park City man who police said had a massive collection of child pornography on his home computers pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Lake County Circuit Court.
Allen Ayen, 62, faces up to seven years in prison if convicted of aggravated possession of child pornography.
Assistant State's Attorney Victor O'Block said investigators from the state attorney general's office and Lake County state's attorney's office served a search warrant on Ayen's home in the 3400 block of Howard Avenue on Sept. 21.
Investigators had tracked child pornography moving from several Internet sites to Ayen's computers, O'Block said.
Police said they found 800 videos and about 1,000 still images of child pornography on three computers and a collection of compact discs in the house.
Associate Judge Theodore Potkonjak scheduled a trial of the case for Jan. 3. He ordered Ayen, who is free after posting $2,500 for bond, to appear in court Dec. 7.
