Grayslake North band wins
Grayslake North High School's Marching Knights recently finished their competitive season at the Sandwich High School Marching Fest in downstate Sandwich. The Knights snagged first-place honors in parade competition and Class A field show. Officials said it was the second consecutive year the Marching Knights swept the competition. In addition, the Marching Knights Drum Majors for the first time were awarded the Best Drum Major Award in their particular class. In 2009, the Knights competed in Class B with a band size of 62 members. This year, the Knights expanded to 92 members and moved up to Class A.
