McDermott has record of success

I am supporting Dr. Dan McDermott for Lake County regional superintendent of schools because he understands that school districts cannot depend on property taxes to be the sole means of financial support. As the principal of North Chicago High School, he has partnered with large Lake County businesses, which realize how important it is to educate and train our students to become productive members of life.

Dr. McDermott has created a safe and secure atmosphere at North Chicago High School. He has instituted a college prep diploma based on core subjects. He wants to make school experiences more meaningful for the students. He recognizes that all people have talents that need to be developed. By using virtual classrooms, he sees the value of training for those who are unable to learn through standardized means.
