Harley-Davidson Museum to pay tribute to vets
MILWAUKEE -- The Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee is planning to pay tribute to veterans and their families next month.
The museum, 400 W Canal St., will offer free admission to them Thursday to Sunday, Nov. 4-7.
On Nov. 4, a Harley archivist will talk about the history of military vehicles and the company's other wartime contributions.
On Friday, Nov. 5, a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, Dana Harbaugh, will talk about his decision to create a tribute Harley-Davidson motorcycle and show his photographs of association members.
On Saturday, Nov. 6, 80 cadets from St. John's Northwestern Military Academy Program will perform to honor veterans from World War I to current conflicts.
The museum's ambassador, Glory the bald eagle, will be there Nov. 6-7 to pose for photos.
