New on DVD: 'Back to the Future'

“Back to the Future: 25th Anniversary Trilogy”

In 1985, Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis took the public on a wild ride into the past and future with the inventive tale of the McFly family. Thanks to the heartwarming story, fun special effects and wonderful performances, the films still hold up after 25 years.

The stories revolve around teen Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox). He winds up back in the 1950s, thanks to the work of scientist Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) and his time-traveling DeLorean. Marty meets his parents, then still in high school, and ultimately alters the course of his family's history. The next two films take Marty into the future and way back in the past.

Each film is clever in its own right, and you will enjoy them like never before in high definition. The DVD set features more than two hours of new bonus features, including a six-part retrospective documentary, deleted scenes, featurettes, commentaries, music videos, outtakes and more.

“Chaplin at Keystone: An International Collaboration of 34 Original Films”

Fans of the great Charlie Chaplin can now relive his career at Keystone Studios. The project to restore and put together these films took eight years. Thanks to the work of the British Film Institute National Archive, the Cineteca Bologna, its laboratory and Lobster Films, we have the best prints ever assembled.

There are new musical settings along with bonus features. Some of the films in the four-disc set are: “Tillie's Punctured Romance,” “Mabel's Strange Predicament,” “Caught in the Rain,” “The Rounders,” “The New Janitor,” “His Musical Career,” “Dough and Dynamite,” “Making a Living” and “Tango Tangles.”

“On the Road with Charles Kuralt Set 3”

Starting in 1967, Charles Kuralt traveled the country introducing his CBS viewing audience to a wide range of people and their interesting professions. He did these stories for 20 years, and wore out many motor homes. Kuralt had a kind way of telling stories, and they are timeless.
