Flying in the face of Christ's teachings
The hatefulness and viciousness permeating our country today are sickening. Citizens are bombarded with lies. As an example, many people are convinced our new health care bill supports “death panels” for the elderly.
Lies like these are believed because the average citizen honestly does not know what is in that bill. Many of today's voters absorb their politics from prejudiced media sources and swallow every word without checking the facts.
This country was built on honor and truthfulness, not distain for anyone not white, straight or Christian. The far-right continues to flaunt its Christianity, but their actions fly in the face of Christ's teachings.
