Round Lake Beach man admits having child porn on cell phone
A Round Lake Beach man faces up to five years in prison after admitting he downloaded child pornography from the Internet on to his cell phone.
Bryan Sedelsky, 30, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography during a hearing before Lake County Circuit Judge James Booras.
Assistant State's Attorney Mary Stanton said officials from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children detected child pornography being downloaded to a cell phone in Illinois in late 2009.
That organization notified the Illinois attorney general's office, Stanton said, who traced the phone to Sedelsky's residence in the 1200 block of Red Oak Circle.
Investigators took a search warrant to Sedelsky's apartment on Dec. 16, Stanton said, and arrested him after finding 26 images of child pornography on the phone.
Sedelsky was sentenced to 30 months in prison in 2000 after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography and sexual exploitation of a child in Cook County.
Booras scheduled a sentencing hearing for Nov. 16.
