Suburban economy the topic in Barrington

Barrington Bank & Trust will lead a panel discussion on the state of the Northwest Suburban economy as seen from a local bank's perspective at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at the Garlands Performing Arts Center, 1000 Garlands Lane, Barrington.

The event is sponsored by the Noon Rotary Club of Barrington. Brad Stetson, chairman and CEO of Barrington Bank & Trust, will talk on whether money is available for commercial lending in today's economy. He will address how business owners should prepare to approach traditional lenders. Other experts will talk about what has transpired in the mortgage industry and housing values in the Northwest suburbs and how the election may affect stock values.

The cost is $15, payable at the door for all non-Barrington Noon Rotary Club Members.
