Free shred event offered in Libertyville

Allstate is hosting a free secure disposal event from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 30.

Powered by Cintas Corp., a secure document management services firm, the event will take place at Phoenix Insurance & Financial Services, 711 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville.

Allstate customers and community members are encouraged to bring any confidential documents containing personal information such as their Social Security number or financial information, to be securely destroyed by Cintas.

During the event, anyone can bring their documents to have them shredded by an on-site, certified Cintas employee. From drop-off to destruction, all documents will be constantly monitored and protected. Further, all of the shredded documents will be recycled into secondary paper products to reduce waste and impact on the environment. In doing so, the community will save trees, energy and gallons of water while reducing green house gas emissions.
