Thieves use stolen credit cards to buy $10,000 worth of merchandise

Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the theft of a purse Oct. 10 from a Naperville restaurant and the subsequent use of stolen credit cards at the Apple Store and Target in the city.

Police said the thieves used the stolen cards to purchase more than $10,000 in merchandise, including gift cards and electronic items.

Police said they are looking for three suspects in connection with the incident.

The first is described as a Hispanic male, about 40 years old, with a mustache.

The second is a female Hispanic, also about 40 years old, standing 5 feet 7 inches with a medium build and brown hair. She was seen wearing a white jacket, blue jeans and glasses on top of her head.

The third is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall with a large build and dressed like a woman. He was seen wearing a black shirt with a design on front, blue jeans and wearing glasses.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (630) 420-6006. Callers may remain anonymous.
