A midterm election conversation
“Gonna vote Tom?”
“Nope, John. I'm taking a pass.”
“Why?”
“They're all dopes!”
“Didn't you vote last time?” “Yep . . . for hope and change.”
“And what did you get?”
“Hope and change.”
“So what's the problem?”
“Here's my problem. I go to work, pay my taxes and get to keep some change. I didn't understand that their version of hope and change was that they hoped I wasn't looking so they could keep more of my change!”
“And you gotta problem with that?”
“Darn tootin'!”
“So why wouldn't you vote and send a message?”
“You're right!”
“Great! What are you gonna vote for this time?”
“Change, I hope!”
