Michigan expects banged-up players to play Penn St.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez says he expects quarterback Denard Robinson and some of his banged-up teammates to play against Penn State.
Robinson was knocked out of the Wolverines' last game with an injured right shoulder. Running backs Mike Shaw and Fitzgerald Toussaint have been slowed by knee and ankle injuries. Center David Molk and defensive tackle Mike Martin both were limited by ankle injuries Oct. 16 against Iowa.
The Wolverines got a much-needed break last week with an open date and Rodriguez hopes his team is mentally and physically refreshed.
Michigan plays Saturday night on the road against the Nittany Lions needing a win to become bowl-eligible and to avoid a three-game skid after opening the season with five straight wins.
