Thanks, candidates, for spurring economy

I would like to thank the hundreds of political candidates who are spending millions of dollars to try to get elected to public office. I can't help but admire someone who wants to serve the American people so much, they are willing to spend millions of dollars in PAC, personal and sponsor money to do so.

Your millions of dollars speak volumes about your character, and the money is serving to add a little spending money to advertising firms, direct mailers, radio, cable and networks who run your ads.

No matter which party you belong to, your eagerness to serve in a public office is an example for us all. So thank you, candidates, for providing your own little stimulus to the economy. It's probably the best action you will accomplish in your lifetime, whether you get elected or not.

For those candidates who are already in office, and spending money to stay in office, thanks for being able to multi-task so well. Spending so much time away from your current job to get re-elected is a remarkable feat of endurance. I can only imagine how good your staff must be to keep you in the loop on your paid work, while you stump for re-election. Your ability to take on such a workload is much appreciated.
