Huntley lobbying for Amtrak station

Huntley is ramping up its efforts to get an Amtrak station built in the village. The village is asking members of the Huntley Chamber of Commerce to collect signatures on a petition that the village will collect before the Nov. 2 election.

Those signing petitions do not have to live in Huntley. To be considered for a rail project, communities in the region must act in a supportive and coordinated manner.

The deadline for submitting a completed petition is Friday, Oct. 29. Petitions and cover letters can be found on the village's website, huntley.il.us.
