Glen Ellyn Food Pantry needs help to sponsor Thanksgiving meals

The Glen Ellyn Food Pantry needs your help to sponsor a Thanksgiving meal to families in our community who are facing a bleak holiday season. Every year, the food pantry distributes turkey dinner food boxes to over 350 local families in need. The food pantry will again provide a turkey, dinner sides, and a grocery gift card that will allow families to purchase other items to complete a Thanksgiving meal. The food pantry is asking the community to sponsor a Thanksgiving meal by contributing money towards the boxes. The cost of a food box for a family of four is $40. Meals can be sponsored by individuals or groups or you can contribute money in any amount towards the boxes. Please mail or drop-off your contributions at the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry, 493 Forest Ave., Glen Ellyn by Nov. 19. The Glen Ellyn Food Pantry is a nonprofit corporation that serves the Glen Ellyn community and is funded solely through donations and volunteer efforts.
