Will County treasurer: McGuire

Incumbent Pat McGuire deserves another term as Will County treasurer. He has a history of outreach to the community, and has maintained the level of department's performance while dealing with a reduced budget and head count.

When a mortgage company went bankrupt last year, he and his staff worked to help taxpayers whose escrow accounts were held by the company. While Republican challenger Steve Weber brings impressive experience as a former Will County auditor, McGuire has demonstrated the kind of leadership and compassion needed in tough times.
