Bean one incumbent who should return

I met Melissa Bean only once. In that brief meeting, I told her the story of my son who had recently returned from his Peace Corps assignment in Bolivia. She listened with interest as I told her about his troubles securing health insurance simply because he was exposed to health risks in such an underdeveloped part of that country.

Shortly thereafter, she sent a letter to my son thanking him for his service to our country and she offered him encouragement. She captured my admiration with that act.

Since then, I have followed her performance as our representative. I have found her to be responsive to her district while making an independent voting record. She has won my vote.

Like most, I am tired of the antics by the leaders in our Congress from both sides of the aisle. I look forward to the changes this election may bring. Having said that, Melissa Bean is one incumbent that should be returned to office.
