DuPage Forest Preserve President: Pierotti
We endorse D. Dewey Pierotti in his bid for a third and final, he says term as president of the DuPage Forest Preserve Commission. Clearly committed to the preserves, Pierotti oversaw the district's separation from the county government.
He is a strong leader willing to take a stand, even if unpopular, to serve the entire district. Still, his customer service has been criticized and we encourage him to be respectful and responsive. Democratic challenger Dennis Clark poses thoughtful questions and we hope he continues as a board watchdog.
But he seems inclined to become caught up in analysis and shows a willingness to disown his proposals in the face of questioning.
