Time for BG to move past Stone era

When a trustee cannot see the forest for the trees, who is unwilling to listen or learn, and demonizes anyone who disagrees with her, how can people of goodwill address real issues that affect our community?

And when the same trustee insists on rehashing points, by asking the same questions over and over again at meetings, when they all have been answered, how can the real business of our government get done?

When the same trustee will not work with others, and constantly attacks and defames them, how can we attract quality people to carry out the functions of government?

And when the same trustee assails ordinary business on pretext, simply for self-glorification, how can the Village attract high caliber employees, vendors and developments?

Diligence and oversight are valuable. But what benefit comes from malicious, ignorant rants? Does she think the public would confuse aimless babbling with bona fide progress, or destructive nonsense with accomplishment? She can stop pretending to be our savior; the village doesn't need saving.

Don Quixote could not see reality; his quest was based on illusions and his fighting pointless. Lisa Stone is similarly confounded by hatreds, obsessions, suspicions, arrogance and disdain. If she must tilt at windmills, she should do it on her own time, and on her own dime, and stop wasting ours.

On Nov. 2nd, I will vote YES to recall and remove Lisa Stone from the office of trustee. Please join me, vote YES, and return a measure of sanity to our village.
