Lift truck dealer opens new Itasca facility

ITASCA — After several months of planning and renovating, Hyster Lift Truck dealer Alta Equipment Co. has moved in to its new 41,696 square foot Itasca service facility and will hold a grand opening on Oct. 28. The full-service location becomes Alta Equipment Company's second branch in the Chicago area, adding to its current facility in Montgomery.

The expansion signals Alta's intention to provide complete service coverage throughout Chicago. This is the next step toward the company's goal of having five or six Chicago service facilities, said Art Kasik, Alta Equipment Co.'s chief operating officer,

“As a lift truck dealer, you have to have a strong presence in Itasca, Kasik said in a statement. “There are dozens of distribution centers nearby. We were very fortunate to find a building with great visibility and access to the expressway. Now that this is finished, we're actively looking for appropriate sites for our next branch.

There also will be a special Hyster “Invitation to Compare event in which Hyster's electric trucks compete head-to-head with the competition. Preregistration is required for the Hyster event. Call (708) 547-7300.
