Just tell us what you'll do if elected

Yes, I'm a registered voter here in Cook County, and I do not approve the media ads for the slate of candidates. The personal attack ads and the mudslinging speak volumes for the overall attitudes of the so-called marketing geniuses who are trying to earn my vote. Folks, it does not work! I wish to know what a candidate will do if elected, what his or her ideas and concepts are, not what his or her opponent seemingly has not done.

The election season serves the companies that put these television, radio and newspaper ads in front of our faces for one purpose, for them to make money, not to advance their client. The end effect is not to drive voters to the polls but to drive them away. History has proved this to be an absolute. If that is their goal, to drive votes away from the polls, then the ads are successful.

Again, I'm a voter in Cook County and I do not approve their messages.
