CROWN POINT, Ind. — An Indiana teenager accused of murder in the death of the parents of a Chicago television talk show host has pleaded guilty to the charge.

In addition to murder, 19-year-old Gregory Brooks of Hammond also pleaded guilty Thursday to auto theft, robbery, burglary and confinement in the deaths of 76-year-old Ruby and 78-year-old Milton McClendon, also of Hammond.

Brooks entered the plea before Lake County, Ind. Judge Clarence Murray. He is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 10.

The parents of former Chicago CLTV host Garrard McClendon were found dead of gunshot wounds to the head Oct. 19 in a Cook County, Ill. forest preserve.

In addition to Brooks, then 17-year-old Reo Thompson was also charged in their deaths. He has pleaded not-guilty to the charges.
