Schmidt can't be trusted in Senate

I am appalled by the dirty politics and outright lies from Suzi Schmidt.

Her television ads charge Senator Michael Bond with voting for a pay raise that was actually approved before Bond took office.

What's as absurd as the outright lie contained in the advertisement is that it comes from a county board president who voted to raise her own pay four times, only returning the fourth after pressure from the community and the media.

While Lake County was experiencing unprecedented unemployment, Suzi Schmidt took care of herself first.

Also, she has presided as head of the Lake County Board during the time when a recent Forbes article points out, Lake County has among the highest real estate taxes in the whole United States. She is trying to divert attention from the real issues: her lack of real leadership when it comes to the financial health of Lake County.

She can't tell the truth and can't be trusted to be our next state senator.
