Find your Swedish roots at Arlington Heights Library
Swedish genealogist Jan Eurenius and Kathy Meade, the U.S. representative of Genline, will lead workshops on searching for Swedish ancestors Tuesday, Oct. 19, at the Arlington Heights Public Library, 500 N. Dunton Ave.
Ancestor seekers should sign up for a single three-hour session at 10 a.m. or 3 p.m. Hands-on computer work will be part of the session.
The workshop is free because the library subscribes to a Genline Swedish database, said Michael Mulholland, local history and genealogy librarian for the Arlington Heights Library. It consists of hundreds of years of documents compiled by the Lutheran Church in Sweden.
