Kirk the better choice for Senate

If Lisa Madigan had been the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, Illinois voters would have had a difficult decision. Lisa has served the residents of Illinois well in her elected position and deserves a higher post, if and when she decides she wants it.

Alexi Giannoulias, on the other hand, has not served us well in his position as treasurer of the state of Illinois. He does not deserve to move up to a higher office.

Mark Kirk may not be the perfect candidate, but the residents of his congressional district have liked his service enough to re-elect him against strong Democratic challengers. So Illinois voters have a simple decision. Vote for Republican Kirk because he is the better candidate and, besides, we already have a Democratic senator. Illinois can use some balance.
