Libertyville theater group stages 'I Love You'

Liberty Town Productions calls it the perfect grown-up fall date night.
That's why the two-year-old, not-for profit production company is bringing it to the stage at Austin's Fuel Room at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 14-16.
The Liberty Town cast of six performs various roles comedically and musically, depicting the phases of the male-female relationship from first meeting through dating, marriage and old age.
The hit musical, sometimes taglined “Everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws, but were afraid to admit, ran for several years off-Broadway and in Chicago at the Royal George Theatre.
Hosting this theatrical musical-comedy is a first for Austin's Fuel Room, 481 Peterson Road, Libertyville, which is a known concert venue. But owner Mark Khayat said he wants the Fuel Room to be thought of as an overall entertainment destination, and is working with Liberty Town Productions to bring different kinds of entertainment to town.

Liberty Town Productions came together after producing the musicals “Godspell and “Children of Eden at St. Joseph Church. The ensemble then decided to take its mission of celebrating talent on life's stage to the greater Libertyville community. A winter 2011 musical also is planned for Austin's Fuel Room.
Liberty Town's “Perfect ... Change cast includes local actors/singers Mike Dvorak, Sherry Fisher, Penny Roman, Scott Metzger, Scott Muller and Jodi Thors.
Jan Hutchins of Libertyville is the musical director/keyboardist, Libertyville's Matt Sweeney will play violin and Susie Aiello Kiefer, also of Libertyville, is vocal director.

All seating is general admission, with doors opening approximately 30 minutes before curtain.
