Keep death penalty for worst crimes
Mr. Todd Ruder recently wrote about abolishing the death penalty and quoted some unknown surveys and polls that were allegedly done with the police and criminologists that are highly questionable. He further states that it would be cost effective to keep these criminals in for life. That is far from the truth.
Yes, there were cases where criminals and people were wrongly executed after false statements and confessions, but we still need the death penalty for those who by all hard and true evidence are found guilty of their crimes, especially those who commit heinous crimes.
There should be some serious concern about delay tactics and appeals that are in a lot of cases a waste of time, money and resources.
