Stone never a good fit for village board
I have been a resident of Buffalo Grove for 24 years. I have never been politically active, but I always exercise my democratic right to vote.
More than 18 months ago, I knew it was a bad idea to elect Lisa Stone to the village board. I was ostracized, by many of my neighbors, for my opinion.
Since that time, hundreds, no thousands, of people in this community have voiced that the village board is not a good place for her to vent her frustrations.
I told her, right from the start, that it wasn't her ideas and passion I took offense with, but the way she conducted herself. Her conduct has been written about and videotaped, without there ever being a humble apology to those hardworking, committed village employees and volunteers she has continued to offend and slander.
When I asked her why she wanted to run for village trustee, her only answer was she wanted to shake up this good ol' boys club.
I thought it was a ridiculous and counterproductive reason to want to be trustee and I still feel that I was correct. In fact many, who formally opposed me, now passionately agree.
I hope the decent people of Buffalo Grove vote on Nov. 2, to return our civil village to a place we can be proud to live in.
